Junior Staff Accountant

The Junior Staff Accountant provides comprehensive administrative and accounting support to the Finance Department. Responsibilities include clerical and bookkeeping duties, maintaining financial records, and assisting with routine accounting functions to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of departmental operations. Responsibilities

Perform general administrative tasks including filing, scheduling, and correspondence for the Finance Department Assist in the preparation, processing of expense reports, travel reconciliations, credit card reconciliations Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and spreadsheets, including Firm Dues/Licensures, Firm Leases, Finance Contact list, etc. Support Finance functions by processing payments, reconciling statements, and monitoring outstanding balances Assist with the preparation of financial reports, statements, and supporting schedules Reconcile bank deposits, ledgers, Partner expense reports, and other accounting records to ensure accuracy Assist in monthly adjusting entries for General Ledger and budgets Review stale checks for unclaimed funds Assist with Tax department filings to ensure all deadlines are met Provide documentation and support for audits, regulatory compliance, and month‑end and year‑end close processes Handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost integrity Perform additional ad hoc duties as needed Requirements

Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred One to three years of bookkeeping and/or accounting experience required Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP systems) preferred Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and problem‑solving ability Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment Seniority level
