Under general supervision of the TRIO Director, develop academic outreach programs designed to increase the number of college‑eligible and college‑bound students from educationally and economically disadvantaged backgrounds and provide academic enrichment opportunities for targeted high‑school and middle‑school students. Assess the needs of the student population served, determine the best method of providing services, and develop a schedule of program activities in target schools. Advise junior and senior high‑school students and parents regarding higher‑education opportunities and programs available; develop and present workshops about post‑secondary admissions requirements, student services and financial aid; assist students with the application process; represent UC Davis at workshops, meetings and conferences; develop written material for program publications; coordinate summer programs; serve on various committees to set policy, strategy and direction for programs that improve opportunities for students. Coordinate campus visits, parent conferences and other academic enrichment activities.

Minimum Qualifications
Valid California driver’s license and compliance with local policies.
Advising experience serving large numbers of low‑income/first‑generation high‑school students.
Experience with program development and management.
Experience in designing, implementing and evaluating initiatives serving diverse communities.
Knowledge of admissions procedures, registration, financial aid and gift acceptance.
Ability to analyze and evaluate technical and non‑technical program requirements.
Experience with the California public school system.
Preferred Qualifications
Outreach experience to increase educational achievement among diverse populations and language backgrounds.
Experience developing innovative solutions and programs.
Budget oversight and approval experience.
Policy analysis experience for federal, state and university policies.
Research skills for validating student activities and programs.
Foreign language skills (preferably Spanish).
Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets and student database management.
Strong relationships with K‑12 students, evaluation of program needs and planning of meetings/committees.
Diplomacy, confidentiality and independent teamwork.
Project management, meeting deadlines and productivity.

Position duration: Confirmed through May 2026, with possible extension. This is a 100% remote staff contract (Grade 18), salary range $25.57/hr to $44.06/hr, paid biweekly.
Location: Redding, CA (remote).
