Responsibilities
Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement a comprehensive, age-appropriate plan of care for the low acuity patient and family which promotes optimal patient outcomes.
Meets the educational and informational needs of the low acuity patient and family, utilizing appropriate principles of teaching/learning.
Promotes safe, efficient, family-centered care to low acuity patients.
Delegates nursing care based on knowledge of staff qualifications/competency and patient care requirements.
Qualifications
Associate\'s Degree (ADN) Required. Current employees hired before September 1, 2013 are grandfathered and permitted to continue in the direct care nursing role. On-the-Job Training may be acceptable for some roles.
Bachelor\'s Degree Preferred for nurses hired after September 1, 2013; nurses hired after this date without a BSN must complete their degree within 5 years of their hire date.
Licensed RN - MO or Multistate License Missouri required upon hire.
Licensed RN - Kansas or Multistate License Kansas required upon hire (if applicable).
Life Support Certifications required upon hire (as per policy).
Specialty Certification relevant to unit\'s patient population (determined by Nurse Manager/Director) preferred.

Compensation The pay range for this job begins at $31.50/hr; offers are determined based on education and experience.
