We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Cost Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in interpreting customer requests for quotes (RFQs), machining, and welding drawings to determine the scope and requirements necessary for accurate and timely estimates.
Responsibilities
Interpret customer RFQs, machining, and welding drawings to determine scope and requirements.
Develop detailed cost estimates using internal data and supplier quotes.
Complete and maintain cost sheets for each quote and quote revisions.
Coordinate with suppliers to obtain pricing for materials, subcontracted services, and components.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and purchasing teams to ensure accurate and feasible estimates.
Ensure all estimates are complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
Maintain organized records of quotes, the quote log, and supporting documentation.
Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools.
Essential Skills
Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications, including GD&T.
Experience with ERP systems, Epicor ERP E10 is a plus.
Familiarity with CAD software, SolidWorks experience is a plus.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Working knowledge of computers and business software, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in machining processes such as turning, milling, cylindrical grinding, hobbing, and broaching.
Experience in welding processes such as MIG and TIG.
Experience in assembly processes.

Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $60,000.00 – $75,000.00.
