Overview
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for manufacturing component parts and assemblies. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to outline materials needed to efficiently move a job through the shop. Responsibilities
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates. Outline and determine materials necessary for manufacturing processes. Engage in consultations with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to discuss and formulate estimates. Participate in daily customer interactions to ensure clear communication and understanding of project requirements. Essential Skills
5+ years of experience in estimating, preferably in welding products. Proficiency in creating quotes and estimates. Strong client interaction and communication skills. Knowledge of steel and manufacturing processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with welding symbols is advantageous. Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience with welding, mechanical, and blueprint reading is beneficial. Work Environment
The role is set within a manufacturing and office environment where collaboration between engineering and supply chain is emphasized. The team is friendly and works closely together in a shared office space. The company culture is enriched by a family feel. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudson, Wisconsin. Pay and Benefits
Pay range: $26.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on classification and length of employment.
