Position Summary
Senior Commercial Strategy Advisor responsible for developing and executing commercial priorities, optimization strategies, and asset plans across Natural Gas, NGLs, Petchems, Power and data. Using analytical tools, market insights, and cross‑functional collaboration, this role identifies optimization opportunities, assesses capital trade‑offs, and contributes to portfolio value enhancement. The position partners closely with trading, marketing, operations, logistics, and corporate strategy teams to ensure value‑chain flows and infrastructure plans align with enterprise goals and translates strategic objectives into actionable commercial initiatives. Key Responsibilities
Identifies and leads logistics cost reduction efforts and strategic placement initiatives for MPC production. Manages intermediate‑to‑advanced level commercial relationships with third‑party logistic service providers, including negotiation of renewals or new contracts. Conducts, leads, and guides teams and initiatives around detailed industry and company‑specific strategic organic growth opportunities as well as potential acquisitions, mergers, or divestments. Facilitates the development of strategy around a group of assets. Guides and performs economic evaluation and intermediate financial modeling & analysis to identify value creation opportunities that align with the company’s strategic objectives. Leads collaboration and serves as liaison between multiple internal stakeholders including but not limited to Business Development, Services Development, MPLX, RVCO, Trading, Scheduling, and Marketing to understand business needs, identify constraints and opportunities, discuss local and regional economic drivers, and propose solutions. Identifies, participates, and co‑leads, when necessary, cross‑functional projects encompassing development of business cases, development of options around the scope of the project and, at the appropriate time, handoff for execution. Able to co‑lead significant project execution. Consistently and effectively communicates opportunities, plans, and strategies to internal stakeholders using multiple platforms or mediums. Adjusts the level of detail as appropriate to the respective audience and presents to the executive leadership team with support. Demonstrates an intermediate to advanced understanding of refining, midstream, marketing, and logistics operations as well as economic value contribution. Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required. Seven (7) or more years of Commercial, Strategy, or related experience required. Skills
