Moraine Park Technical College is establishing a candidate pool for potential part‑time Adjunct Faculty positions in General Education at the Beaver Dam, Fond du Lac, and West Bend campuses. These positions encompass Communications, General Studies, Mathematics, Natural Science, and Social Science. While specific positions may not be available at the moment, submitting your application will allow us to consider you for future opportunities that align with your skills and experience. The roles of Adjunct Faculty are part‑time positions with flexible class assignments and varying locations each term. The instructor may be assigned to teach at different sites within the district, including campuses, centers, and business locations, and may teach during evenings, weekends, and online sessions. Reporting directly to the Associate Dean of General Education, the instructor plays a key role in delivering quality education within the district. The candidate pool will be open from July 1 2025 to June 30 2026; if you remain interested after this period you will be prompted to resubmit your application for the next fiscal year. Job Qualifications
For Communications: Master’s Degree in the content area being taught (e.g., English, Reading Instruction, Journalism, Speech, Communication, or Literature) or a Master’s Degree in any field with 18 graduate credits in the content area.
For Mathematics: Master’s Degree in Mathematics or any field with 18 graduate credits in Mathematics.
For Natural Science: Master’s Degree in the content area being taught (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, or Physics) or any field with 18 graduate credits in the content area.
For Social Science: Master’s Degree in the content area being taught (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Economics, History, Anthropology, Geography, or Philosophy) or any field with 18 graduate credits in the content area.
Duties And Responsibilities
Ability to adapt to meet student needs, including flexibility in scheduling, workload, and type/variety of communication.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey ideas and concepts professionally and to adjust to varying student learning styles.
Ability to understand and promote the educational philosophy and programs of Moraine Park Technical College and willingness to evolve with the college’s philosophy.
Experience working in a team environment and collaborating with other individuals and teams to meet student needs.
Experience with the MS Office Suite, the internet, and email; ability to deliver instruction at NRS levels 1‑6 and to use new technologies.
Experience with online learning platforms and student management systems preferred.
Willingness to continuously learn and accept constructive feedback.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills; ability to manage time and schedule effectively; strong problem‑solving skills.
Previous community involvement and a desire to give back to the profession and community.
Must meet Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements as detailed in Chapter TCS 3 of the Wisconsin Administrative Code.
