Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Family Law Attorney to join our Prince William County, Virginia team. In this role, you will independently manage and lead complex family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, equitable distribution, and protective order cases. This is a full-time, in-office position serving clients throughout Prince William County and surrounding areas, including Woodbridge, Manassas, and Gainesville.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a substantial caseload of family law matters from intake through final resolution.
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and trials before the Prince William County Circuit and Juvenile & Domestic Relations Courts.
Provide strategic and compassionate counsel to clients throughout the litigation process.
Collaborate with colleagues and mentor junior attorneys to ensure consistent, high-quality advocacy.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in Virginia (required).
Minimum of 5–8 years of family law experience, including significant courtroom and trial experience.
Strong legal writing, communication, and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to develop case strategies and deliver effective client advocacy.
Leadership ability and interest in mentoring junior attorneys.
