Role Description
The Customer Account Coordinator is responsible for providing constant coordination, review analysis input, and communication of information between the external customers, the sales account managers, production planning, and our manufacturing plants. This role processes all releases and coordinates timely delivery to customers.
Responsibilities
Work with production planning, account manager, and customer to manage the forecast and confirm availability of inventory to meet customer requirements.
Review and enter customer requests for carton and pallet pattern specifications.
Email price quotes to customers provided by the account manager and notify customers of annual price increases and surcharges as needed.
Enter customer delivery needs, monitor Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) orders, work with transportation to coordinate deliveries, communicate any delivery delays, problem solve to reduce the impact of delivery delays and/or customer production downtime, and notify the account manager as appropriate and elevate as needed.
Manage pallet returns by issuing pallet return numbers to customers and following up on open tracking numbers.
Manage stock transfers with plants and transportation.
Enter return ware authorizations and scrap requests.
Enter repacks and coordinate reselection priority of hardware.
Help manage the review and communication of overaged inventory.
Complete Field Service Reports (FSR) due to quality and service issues communicated by customers.
Assist Accounts Receivable with a resolution of open invoices and/or deductions as needed.
Participate in customer conference calls and team meetings as needed.
Complete assignments that sales leadership may instruct.
Minimum Skills/qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Three (3) years of customer service experience.
Excellent planning, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to make decisions, analyze data, solve problems, and take initiative.
Exceptional quick thinking, a sense of urgency, concern for customer needs, a desire to collaborate within a team environment or independently, and the ability to work under pressure.
Excellent attention to detail and follow-through skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills/qualifications
Associate's degree in business or a related field.
Prior experience working for a manufacturer.
Experience with SAP.
