Nutrition Care Associate

Performs a variety of food and guest service duties under general supervision. This position includes the following roles, which will vary by facility need: patient meal tray assembly and delivery, cashier, food assembly, food serving, and cleaning.

Base pay range $17.00/hr - $22.00/hr

Posting Specifics Pay Rate: Based on Experience.

Shift Details Part-time (16 hrs/wk). Variety of days / shifts: 7:00am-3:30pm, 3:30pm-8:00pm, 7:00am-7:30pm. Will include rotating weekends and assigned holidays.

Qualifications

Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work (required only in the states of Utah and Idaho).

Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred).

Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service (preferred).

Essential Functions

Delivers and presents trays to patients using the standard process.

Performs food preparation functions according to system standards (e.g., prepares salads, sandwiches, vegetables, and fruit).

Follows standardized practices relating to Nutrition Services (e.g., dining experience, meal delivery, maintaining required stock levels).

Performs housekeeping functions including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, floor care, and equipment.

Performs accurate cash/credit transactions according to system standards and independently resolves basic customer service issues.

Physical Requirements

Employee must see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, assess customer needs.

Frequent interactions with customers requiring fast communication and understanding.

Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision.

Expected to lift, transport, pull, and push equipment; work on hands and knees; bend; carry supplies of varying weights (including heavy items).

Remain standing for long periods.

Tolerate extremes in temperature while working near grills or refrigerators and exposure to cleaning chemicals.
