Job Description

The manager will review HSE incidents for root cause analysis and establish corrective and preventative actions. They will provide technical assistance to various plant staff functions and coordinate plant safety teams.
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance routes are completed and updated as needed. Serve as a shop floor mentor and interface for HSE topics. Facilitate HSE-related communication, including training, safety alerts, and production review meetings. Prepare HSE-related training material and lead training classes. Lead or participate in incident investigation, facilitating root cause analysis and proper corrective and preventative actions. Participate in or lead plant emergency response teams. Conduct hazard assessments of equipment and jobs to ensure compliance with applicable requirements. Develop and revise HSE-related policies and procedures for the plant and drive their implementation. Lead safety audits of key program areas to ensure compliance with regulatory and company directives. Conduct formal reviews of new equipment, equipment modifications, or process changes. Maintain documentation to meet company directives and regulatory requirements. Provide leadership and guidance to plant safety teams. Interact with state and federal agencies and consultants to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies' requirements.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or GED equivalent. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, warehousing, or industrial environment. Active OSHA 30 certification. Knowledge of Fall Protection and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures. Valid Driver's License. Strong computer skills, particularly with MS Office.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of Safety and Environmental Management Systems (ISO14001, ISO45001). Leadership skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment
This role involves on-site oversight of two warehouses with a heavy automotive focus. The work environment includes after-market warehousing, managing products such as shift injectors, windshield wiper blades, and automotives to clients like AutoZone. This opportunity offers a long-term career path for the right candidate, with opportunities to work with a large engineering company that has a backlog of work, especially for those open to regional travel.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
