As a Ticket Writer at Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG), you will be responsible for processing wagers on sporting events in our Fanatics Sportsbook. You are here to assist customers by explaining betting options, issuing tickets, and handling payouts. This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, cash handling experience and strong customer service skills.
Responsibilities
Provide the highest level of customer service, ensuring that all customers feel comfortable and become regular guests at Fanatics Sportsbook
Write, verify, and make payments on tickets for sports wagers in accordance with department policy and procedures and ensures compliance to applicable jurisdictional gaming statutes and regulations
Maintain a cash bank for his/her shift, responsible for accepting payment and making correct change when necessary
Stock sportsbook Writer/Cashier stations with adequate supplies; keeps all stations neat and clean
Write Sports tickets in an accurate and timely manner
Make payments on winning tickets in an accurate and timely manner; verify tickets and payoffs
Maintain and reconcile bank for assigned shift, following established cash-handling policies and procedures
Explain wagering rules, including betting lines and odds, and procedures to guests
Provide information and assistance to customers in a friendly, courteous manner to ensure the delivery of guest service. Offer information on activities, etc., and direct guests for further information as necessary
Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner
Notify management of escalated or prevalent guest issues/concerns and any apparent suspicious activity
Become familiar with the entire bet offering and be able to answer questions about the offering with confidence
Work to resolve customer disputes/complaints and escalates to direct supervisor when needed
Have a positive attitude that helps ensure a great work environment
Ensure that all necessary paperwork/documentation is filled out accordingly to company policy
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must have basic computer knowledge
General Sports and Sports Betting knowledge preferred, but not necessary
Must have a minimum of 1 years of cash handling experience in a work setting
21+ years of age or older
Must be able to obtain a Gaming License
Must be able to provide a high level of customer service in a very fast paced environment
Present yourself in a professional manner
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to do simple math
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
You have an agile mindset; able to embrace new initiatives in a fast-paced environment
Thrives in an entrepreneurial, hyper‑growth environment where priorities evolve regularly and decisions are made quickly
Team‑first mentality, with a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done and a desire to strive for better
Able to effectively work cross‑functionally within an enterprise environment
