Local Sales Manager at Clear Channel Outdoor Job Summary:

The Account Executive meets and exceeds local and national sales goals by selling our outstanding inventory to qualified advertisers. This role develops and maintains long-term advertising relationships by presenting comprehensive proposals and competitive, profitable pricing structures in collaboration with our Sales, Marketing and Operations teams across our broad range of digital and printed inventory.

Responsibilities

Drive revenue goal attainment on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Prospect and develop new customer relationships, persuasively communicating strategies for meeting customer needs.

Conduct outside sales activities, including obtaining orders and contracts for Clear Channel services while on the road.

Ensure customer satisfaction by coordinating all aspects of the account with creative, operations, marketing, and finance staff.

Determine project pricing based on management guidelines.

Negotiate fees or services with clients with management approval.

Oversee projects from start to finish and ensure client satisfaction.

Deliver proof of performance (POP) to clients.

Accompany clients on market tours to showcase outdoor inventory.

Communicate and coordinate with Ad Ops and other internal departments.

Complete other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, experience, or military experience preferred.

Work Experience: Minimum two (2) years of sales experience or other relevant work experience required. Demonstrated track record of business-to-business and progressive sales experience preferred.

Skills:

Strong organizational/time‑management skills and detail‑oriented.

Skilled in working closely with customers to develop and cultivate client relationships to grow accounts.

Sales achievement with experience in consultative or “needs”‑based selling techniques.

Collaborative and professional style focused on building strong relationships with diverse customer groups and vendors.

Self‑starter with a diligent work ethic and demonstrates flexibility.

Ability to multi‑task and stay calm under pressure.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including delivering effective presentations.

Ability to complete required math calculations (e.g., multiply, divide, rate, ratio, percent, produce/interpret bar graphs).

Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and social media platforms.

Account Management: Building long‑term, value‑based relationships with accounts, developing business, and maximizing revenue while reducing time and cost of management.

Fostering Communication: Listening and communicating openly, honestly, and respectfully with diverse audiences.

Initiative: Proactively addressing situations and issues, seizing opportunities.

Managing the Sales Process: Applying the organization’s sales methodology to achieve targets.

Negotiating: Discovering shared interests to resolve disputes.

Networking: Establishing, sustaining, and fostering professional contacts.

Presentation: Preparing and delivering presentations in formal and informal settings, managing logistics.

Physical Demands The demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Attendance at weekly/monthly meetings is required. The position involves working both in an office environment and in the field, making sales calls, and servicing existing accounts. Employee must be able to lift and move items up to 15 pounds, see written documents and computer screens, and adjust focus.

Other Requirements

Able to travel outside the office at least 50% of the time for meetings and industry events.

Has a valid driver’s license.

Access to a reliable vehicle.
