Position Summary The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the daily accounting operations and assisting with financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of accounting experience and a solid understanding of GAAP principles.
Key Responsibilities
Record and reconcile daily transactions, journal entries, and intercompany transfers.
Ensure subsidiary books align with corporate chart of accounts and reporting structure.
Perform account reconciliations for bank accounts, balance sheets, and other general ledger accounts.
Maintain and organize accounting records and documentation.
Assist with preparation of financial statements and management reports.
Support audits by providing required documentation and analysis.
Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
Understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with financial statement preparation and reconciliations.
Exposure to RAMP and ClickUp a plus.
Aviation Industry experience preferred but not required.
