CFD Research is seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role in the stages of the recruitment process, ensuring strong pipelines of qualified candidates. You will analyze the company's hiring and talent needs, use various channels to source top candidates, work closely with hiring managers, as well as conduct resume screening and interviewing. This person will also be responsible for building relationships with applicants and current employees, researching talent acquisition trends to improve the process, and representing the organization at job fairs and recruiting events.

Core Responsibilities

Utilize various sourcing techniques and tools to identify potential and passive candidates through online databases, job boards (Dice, Indeed, LinkedIn), social media platforms, Internet sourcing, Boolean keyword searching, and networking to identify top talent for our organization.

Scheduling complex panel interviews with candidates.

Review applicants, update statuses, while maintaining accurate, up-to-date candidate information in Greenhouse (our Applicant Tracking System) to effectively shepherd candidates through hiring process.

Provide regular updates and reports on sourcing activities, candidate pipelines, and market trends.

Handle PII responsibly and comply with all company policies, including HIPAA laws and regulations.

Career Fair/ Hiring Event travel may be required periodically depending on the demands of the TA team to represent CFD effectively.

Assist with basic HR duties as needed, including onboarding of new employee‑owners, pre‑employment of new employees to include reference checks, background checks, I9 document verifications, and verifying various information.

Qualifications

Experience with full-cycle recruitment processes (sourcing, interviewing, hiring).

Candidate should have a minimum of four (4) years of relevant recruiting/ talent acquisition experience.

Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools, (Greenhouse experience is a plus).

Ability to handle complex interview scheduling with multiple Outlook calendars, including both face‑to‑face and virtual interviews using Microsoft Teams and communicating interview confirmation emails to candidates in a fast‑paced environment.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a metric‑driven environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques, research and candidate generation skills (e.g., Boolean search, job board platforms like Dice, Indeed, ClearanceJobs, LinkedIn, etc.), and ability to remain current with developing new techniques and skills.

Basic knowledge of employment laws and regulations are essential.

A proactive, results‑driven mind set with strong organizational and time‑management skills.

Experience with Windows, Microsoft Office Tools, and ability to create and update basic Excel spreadsheets, PDF and Word documents.

High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree in a related field is also a plus.

Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Location This role is based at CFD Research Corporate headquarters in Huntsville, AL, and is 100% onsite. There may be opportunity for Telework flexibility, depending on experience level.
