Overview

The Hibbing Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) has an opening for a Full-Time Staff Supervisory Physician. CBOCs within the Minneapolis VA Health Care System provide care to Veterans near their hometown and serve over 18,000 Veterans throughout Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. Duties

The Minneapolis VA is seeking a Family Practice or Internal Medicine trained primary care provider with administrative and supervisory experience for a position as Medical Supervisor for the VA clinic in Hibbing and Ely. Our facilities include an updated fully equipped medical clinic with a lab, xray and telemedicine capabilities. Our physicians serve the primary care health needs of Hibbing and Ely rural areas using a team approach with nursing and onsite clinical pharmacist. Mental Health services within the clinic help to provide comprehensive care to the Veterans served in this VA Community Clinic. Take time with your patients. Visits for established patients are 30 minutes and for new patients 60 minutes. The Medical Supervisory Lead of Hibbing and Ely CBOCs will recruit providers, oversee clinical operations, oversight of all physicians, PAs, and NPs, and otherwise administer the clinic in collaboration with Clinic Nurse Manager. Providers will perform outpatient duties and management of scheduled and unscheduled patients. An assigned panel of patients is determined by the VHA PCMM software package which is specific to their practice and setting. Focus on care include the chronic disease initiative areas of CHF, COPD and DM, mental health collaboration in the PC setting, MOVE program focusing on weight loss, diet and activity as well as health promotion/disease management.
