Jobs via Dice . This role is an entry‑level IT support/Help Desk position with hands‑on and remote phone support responsibilities. Responsibilities

Respond to Help Desk calls from the company user base Create the initial record of the request Resolve all Level One end-user problems Identify, evaluate and solve end-user workstation problems Support and train end-users in a wide range of software applications Read, understand and apply complex technical information as needed Contact third-party vendors for warranty service/repair Maintain punctual and predictable attendance Assist site with after-hours support needs Be a member of the on-call after-hours rotation for supporting all sites Work with minimal supervision while communicating with site administration and other team members Collaborate to learn and share technical skills with other team members Demonstrate good communication skills Ability to lead medium-sized projects and contribute to knowledge base Master new computer technologies Maintain cooperative working relationships Demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse population Mentor junior technicians with technical training Provide dedicated customer service Be an active and supportive team member with a can-do attitude Strong knowledge of current desktop and laptop operating systems and hardware Install and troubleshoot Microsoft Office and other desktop applications Skilled in network and printing troubleshooting and problem resolution Quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and processes Familiar with Terminal Services, Bomgar, Citrix, VPN, Remote Desktop and other remote access applications Excel in an environment where exceeding customer expectations is a key objective Provide technical software, hardware and network problem resolution Diagnose problems and guide users through step-by-step solutions Identify, diagnose, and resolve problems for users of PC software/hardware, network, and internet connections Clearly communicate technical solutions to end-users in a user-friendly, professional manner Provide one-on-one end-user training as needed Escalate complex issues to appropriate infrastructure team members Provide one-on-one end-user problem resolution over the phone for company-approved PC software Help create end-user FAQs and maintain inventory databases Conduct hardware and software inventory maintenance and reporting Requirements

Orders, delivers, tags, sets up, and assists in configuring end-user PC desktop hardware, software and peripherals Diagnose and resolve end-user network or local printer problems, PC hardware, email, Internet, and network access problems Coordinate timely repair of PC equipment covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements Perform desktop hardware repair for PC equipment and peripherals not covered by vendor maintenance Assist with installing LAN cabling systems and equipment such as network interface cards, servers and switches Skills & Qualifications

Support, Desktop, Troubleshooting, Help desk support, Active Directory, Windows OS, Exchange, Imaging, server support, Switches Strong communication skills; ability to relay technical information understandably Experience level: Intermediate; strong reading, documentation and basic math skills Basic knowledge of current desktop and laptop operating systems and hardware Can install Microsoft Office and other desktop applications Ability to follow established troubleshooting and process documentation Experience with remote access tools and basic networking concepts Workplace and Deadline
