Miami Jewish Health . Brief Description Miami Jewish Health is one of the largest providers of healthcare and living options for aging adults in the Southeast. Our main campus is located on 20+ acres just north of mid‑town Miami, and is home to our support departments such as Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Marketing, and more. Job Summary

Provides off‑campus transportation for the residents, tenants, and clients of MJH. Transports clients from the community to MJHS satellite facilities, doctors, and clinics. Essential Job Functions

Transports persons to and from MJH and other locations. Assists passengers on and off the van in a safe and courteous manner; handles medical equipment and emergencies. Maintains vehicles in standard working condition and clean; reports any needs for maintenance immediately. Maintains necessary documentation such as passenger logs. Reports accidents and/or incidents immediately, per established department protocol. Performs courier and banking functions as needed. Follows all department safety policies and procedures at all times. Participates as a member of the Multidisciplinary Team and attends department meetings and in‑services as necessary. Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience

Two years’ experience driving a passenger bus or larger, with wheelchair accessibility preferred. One‑year experience carrying elderly and/or disabled passengers. Licenses / Certifications

Current Florida Commercial Driver’s License Class A, B or C with passenger endorsement preferred. CPR and First Aid Certification preferred. Abilities Required

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Dade County streets. Ability to deal with physically and emotionally frail, elderly, and/or disabled persons. Ability to enter and exit the bus frequently to assist passengers. Must attend and pass safety driving program annually, and maintain a good driving record. Operates equipment to assist disabled persons. Functional Demands & Environment

Heavy lifting and pushing of wheelchairs. Outside environmental conditions. Possible exposure to blood/body fluids/tissues. Must pass a physical capability test upon hire. Organizational Expectations

Participates in departmental activities, meetings and in‑services and follows established guidelines. Maintains a safe working environment.
