Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Linux System Administrator to manage, maintain, and enhance our Linux-based server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our systems while providing technical support to internal teams. This role requires a deep understanding of Linux operating systems, networking, security best practices, and automation tools.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)

Monitor system performance, availability, and security.

Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control.

Perform regular system updates, patching, and backups.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.

Implement and maintain security measures (firewalls, intrusion detection, SELinux, etc.)

Automate routine tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, or similar tools.

Maintain documentation related to system configuration, processes, and policies.

Work with development and DevOps teams to support deployment pipelines and CI/CD.

Participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours support when required.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

2–5 years of experience as a Linux Administrator or similar role.

Strong knowledge of Linux server environments (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).

Experience with server monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus).

Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.

Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery strategies.

Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, KVM) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Linux certification (RHCSA, RHCE, CompTIA Linux+ or equivalent).

Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Experience in high‑availability and load‑balancing environments.

Strong documentation and communication skills.
