ECS is seeking a
Cloud Systems Administrator
to work in our
Arlington, VA
office. ECS is looking for a Cloud Systems Administrator for a dynamic and growing team for a DHS component in support of an enterprise engineering and operations program. The purpose of this program is to enhance enterprise services and solutions to this DHS component, as part of an integrated evaluation, integration, strategy, design, implementation, and operational maintenance program.
This position requires candidates to be on-site 2 days a week in Arlington, VA.
General Duties
Perform administration activities on AWS such as basic networking, instance creation, AMI development, etc.
Support hardening of instance images to ensure government security and vulnerability compliance leveraging EC2 Image Builder and Packer.
Support configuration management of instances leveraging Ansible, as well as other scripting and automation functions.
Required Skills
Must be a US Citizen
Ability to successfully maintain a DHS Entry on Duty (EOD)/DHS Suitability
At least 3 years of AWS Cloud Administration experience supporting services such as EC2, Instance Builder, S3, Lambda, Basic VPC Networking
At least 3 years of Systems Administration experience (e.g., Patching and Configuration Changes on EC2, building/updating hardened AMIs leveraging AWS Instance Builder, etc.)
Experience with Ansible and writing/testing Ansible Playbooks
Experience with Packer
Experience with automation within systems (e.g., Scripting, Installing Packages, Cron Jobs, etc.)
Desired Skills
Prior DHS experience and possessing a DHS Entry on Duty/DHS Suitability
Experience as a Cloud Engineer and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools such as Terraform
Familiarity with Government Cyber Mission Space and legal constraints applicable to civilian Government Agencies (FISMA, FIPS, SecOps, etc.)
Any applicable certification
