RN Samaritan - 8hr shifts x 5 days a week (SANE Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) The Forensic Examiner Program is seeking a RN who will work full time M-F to support the program. The ideal candidate brings a positive outlook and excitement for the field of forensic nursing. The candidate will be an experienced SANE nurse who responds to all patients of violence when in the on-call role including: Sexual Assaults-adult and pediatric, Domestic Violence, Physical Assault, Elder Abuse, Human Trafficking and Workplace Violence. The nurse will work collaboratively with the current full time office staff to grow awareness about services offered. Tasks include evidence management, peer review, patient follow up and assisting with SANE trainings. Cross coverage for other office staff is required. Minimum on-call commitment includes one 24 hour day per week, one weekend per month and a shared responsibility of holidays (usually one per calendar year). BSN not required but preferred. NYSAFE, SANE-A, SANE-P preferred.

Qualifications

Valid NYS RN license

ASN; BSN preferred

SANE Education completion, preferred

Pay Range $36.50 - $49.95 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
