Overview
We are seeking a skilled
Consumer Protection Attorney
to join our company as in house counsel. This role focuses on representing clients affected by deceptive, abusive, or unfair business practices, with a strong emphasis on compliance and litigation involving consumer protection laws such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Truth In Lending laws, knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code, UCC-1 filings, and lien avoidance. Key Responsibilities
Represent consumers in cases involving fraud, false advertising, deceptive trade practices, and violations of federal and state consumer protection laws. Handle negotiations on behalf of consumers with businesses and lenders, negotiating settlements, and making claims related to FDCPA, FCRA, Truth In Lending laws, UCC-1 filings, and lien avoidance, encompassing knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code. Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, discovery, motions, and briefs. Knowledge of Uniform Commercial Code required. Advise company and create strategies to provide services to clients using legal rights and remedies under consumer protection statutes. Negotiate settlements and advocate on behalf of clients and consumers in court, mediation, and arbitration. Monitor regulatory developments and provide compliance guidance to clients. Maintain detailed records and provide regular case updates to clients. Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in Nevada and/or Arizona. Minimum 2 years of experience in consumer protection, civil litigation, or related areas. Strong knowledge of the FDCPA, FCRA, TILA, Uniform Commercial Code, state and federal consumer protection laws. Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Proven ability to manage multiple cases efficiently. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year (DOE) Experience: Minimum of two years of consumer protection law experience (Required). Work Location: In person – Las Vegas, Nevada.
