Schedule
Day Shift – mostly on the weekends
Might need to assist in covering 6 am–4:30 pm or 8 am–6:30 pm
4–10 hour shifts
Pay Range:
$33 – $38
Requirements
Performs electroencephalograms (EEG) to facilitate the diagnosis and treatment of cerebral impairment. Calculates and analyzes standard and special procedure test results.
Performs and monitors EEGs with collodion on pediatric patients in the epilepsy monitoring unit.
Analyzes patient history to determine proper testing procedures, calibrates equipment, troubleshoots malfunctions, eliminates recording artifacts, calculates test results, and composes preliminary reports.
Exchanges information with patients, physicians, office staff, or records personnel. Recognizes and responds appropriately to acute medical situations, i.e., convulsive seizures.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Completion of AMA approved program in EEG Technology required.
Minimum of on experience as an EEG Tech is required.
ABRET EEG certification is required.
CPR BLS is required.
