Overview
The Oakland TSC is seeking to fill one position either as a Transportation Technician 8-E10 or an Engineering Assistant 6-E8 based on the preferred candidate's qualifications; therefore, two postings are running concurrently on this site. This position assists the Construction Engineer in oversight of the Oakland Transportation Service Center (TSC) Construction Program to ensure compliance with federal, state and local rules and regulations. Responsibilities include technical support activities such as materials sampling and testing, performing construction work item calculations, and data collection using Global Positioning System (GPS) and related digital equipment to document field activities. Requirements
This position requires possession of a valid driver’s license to perform field inspections, materials sampling and testing. The Salary listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate at the entry (6) level through the maximum rate at the experienced (E8) level. Based on education and experience, candidates will be reviewed to determine what level they are qualified for. Additional Information
