LOCATION OF POSITION MDH, Developmental Disabilities Administration, 312 Marshall Ave, Laurel, MD

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB This position will be the primary contact at the regional offices to address and resolve LTSS related concerns. This position will provide support to the regional office teams and community stakeholders to ensure that technical concerns that are impacting the approval of Person-Centered Plans are resolved in a timely manner. This position will also assist regional office teams and stakeholders with applicable post PCP approval troubleshooting to resolve billing exceptions that are hindering DDA licensed and certified providers from billing in the LTSSMaryland- DDA Module. This position will be the point person at the Regional Office to participate in LTSSMaryland related initiatives and share applicable updates with the regional teams, track, and resolve concerns as they are reported.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education:

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience:

Three years of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources.

NOTES

Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Good communication skills (via phone, email, or in-person) with staff from various CCS agencies, provider agencies, ISAS, and Help Desk for LTSS, PCPs, and service-related issues.

Experience with people with disabilities, their families, and providers regarding LTSS, PCPS, and services.

Experience/Knowledge with DDA HQ and other MDH entities regarding LTSS, particularly PCP approval, client and provider authorization, and exceptions.
