A well-established regional law firm with multiple offices across the New York City metropolitan area is looking for an experienced estate planning attorney. Known for its long-standing reputation and highly regarded practice, the firm is committed to providing top legal services. They provide a collaborative, professional, and client-focused environment for candidates to thrive in. The firm is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Attorney to join its growing team. This role will focus primarily on estate planning, with some exposure to trusts and estate administration matters. The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in estate planning or related trusts and estates work, strong drafting skills, and the ability to provide thoughtful counsel to clients regarding personal, family, and business planning goals.
Responsibilities
Draft estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related instruments
Advise clients on estate, gift, and tax planning strategies
Assist with estate and trust administration as needed
Maintain strong client relationships through responsive, professional communication
Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver comprehensive legal solutions
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York Bar
Minimum of 2–5+ years of experience in estate planning or trusts & estates law
LLM in Taxation or Estate Planning preferred but not required
Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills and a client-service orientation
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary in the range of
$130,000 – $155,000
depending on experience
