Position: Territory Sales Manager
ExaGrid is seeking a seasoned sales professional to join our team as a Territory Sales Manager. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in direct sales to the IT data center with a focus on backup and storage (preferable Backup), along with a proven history of consistently surpassing sales quotas. The most important experience and part of the role is the ability to recruit reseller account executive and solutions architects to bring ExaGrid in live backup projects. This position requires a dynamic individual who can build and expand deal pipeline, territory revenue, prospect new resellers, and close deals in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Development:
Expand territory revenue building out a large reach network of reseller account executives and solutions architects to build enough deal pipeline and then winning a high percentage of those deals against the competition.
Pipeline Building:
Spend 70% to 75% of the day recruiting reseller account executives and solutions architects to build an adequate pipeline to hit quota.
Quota Achievement:
Consistently exceed sales targets by developing and executing strategic sales plans that drive revenue growth.
Customer Satisfaction:
Foster customer loyalty and satisfaction by managing relationships as a trusted advisor and ensuring positive customer experiences.
Forecasting and Reporting:
Accurately forecast sales and provide clear communication with management, aligning with company goals. To include maintaining accurate and timely sales forecasts, using data-driven insights to predict future sales performance. Forecasting includes chance of winning an opportunity and the time frame of when that opportunity will book.
Exceptional Communication:
Effectively convey complex ideas to clients, using strong verbal and written skills to build relationships and influence decisions.
Industry Reputation:
Maintain a reputation for competence, professionalism, and integrity in the storage industry or related sectors, delivering consistent results.
Desired Experience and Background
Over 15 years of successful reseller recruitment, working with resellers and sales experience in selling backup and/or storage for product vendors.
Recent experience (within the last 10 years) working in a non‑brand single product company environment, demonstrating adaptability and resourcefulness of working for single product non‑brand company.
Proven experience in selling new or single product lines, especially when competing against established brands.
Demonstrated ability to recruit resellers to open the required number of opportunities to achieve quota.
Consistent history of exceeding sales quotas.
Business development experience is advantageous but not required.
Education BA/BS in Computer Science or Technology preferred (or equivalent work experience).
Compensation & Benefits ExaGrid offers an excellent compensation plan, commensurate with experience that is above average in the local community. Additionally, all employees are granted "equity stock options". Benefits, such as medical/health, dental, are typically acquired by the employee (in regions where plans are not set up by the company) and the company reimburses 75% of the monthly premium cost to the employee.
