Overview The Slot Service Ambassador is responsible for performing slot floor operations which include jackpots payments, minor machine repairs, paper changes, removing bill jams, currency and coin exchange, ticket redemption, and Thunder Rewards Card sign-ups. This position requires strong multitasking and prioritizing skills to service Guest requests and casino floor operations while maintaining a positive attitude and providing friendly, efficient service to internal and external Guests. The Slot Service Ambassador will properly implement all Title 31 procedures and observe and safeguard assets of the company. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

Essential Functions

Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s “ELITE” company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.

Demonstrate clear, friendly, and positive communication with internal and external Guests.

Comply with signatory controls including jackpot tickets, paid in/out slips, and sign-out logs.

Capable of counting and maintaining accountability of a slot bank.

Effectively make change for Guests while maintaining Title 31 requirements.

Comply with all Slot Department policies and provide constructive feedback to Slot Department management on necessary changes and improvements.

Respond to Guest opportunities in a positive and professional manner, escalating when appropriate.

Be aware of all Guest and Team Member activities in assigned area.

Administer kiosks, monitor and fill NRT’s and jackpot stations with funds on an as needed basis.

Cover dispatch on an as needed basis.

Inform shift manager or supervisor of Guest’s needs which may require special accommodations.

Keep work area neat, clean and safe.

Demonstrate an understanding and awareness of the Thunder Rewards Card Program.

Be aware and updated on all upcoming events and promotions.

Inform the shift manager of any illegal gaming devices.

Follow all Responsible Gaming Guidelines, including, but not limited to self-limiting requests and checking identifications for individuals who appear under 30 years of age.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent education.

Two (2) years of customer service experience. Slots experience is preferred.

Basic math and money handling skills.

Basic computer skills.

Ability to multi task while still maintaining a positive attitude.

Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form.

Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with other Team Members, Management, Guests, and other departments.

Ability learn and understand Title 31 requirements including, but not limited to unacceptable currency transactions, logging requirements, MTL’s and CTRC’s.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.

Physical Requirements

Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.

Ability to stand and walk for the duration of shift.

Required to carry equipment weighing up to 15 lbs. including keys, radio, money pouch, and scanner.

Ability to lift or push chairs weighing up to 45 lbs.

Manual dexterity to work with computer keyboards, machine locks, and small tools to repair minor machine malfunctions. Ability to use equipment such as a currency counter, scanner, calculator, telephone, keys, hand-held radio and other electronic devices.

Ability to hear radio transmissions and the ability to communicate clearly on the radio. Must be able to wear an earpiece.
