We're looking for an exceptional, strategic Senior Leader to champion, direct, and execute all Environmental, Health, and Safety ( EHS ) initiatives across our client’s large‑scale manufacturing operations. This is a high‑impact leadership role responsible for forging a proactive safety culture, ensuring absolute regulatory compliance, and driving measurable improvements in operational performance and employee well‑being.

What You’ll Lead and Drive Safety Culture & Leadership

Champion Safety Culture:

Instill and drive a world‑class safety culture across

700+ manufacturing employees , transitioning the organization from compliance‑focused to ownership‑driven.

Strategic Partnership:

Serve as the primary EHS partner to manufacturing leadership, coaching them on best practices, technical solutions, and risk management to ensure safety is a core operational value.

Engagement & Ownership:

Build cross‑functional partnerships to embed safety at all levels. Implement high‑impact programs (learning teams, communications, recognition) to significantly boost employee ownership and engagement on the line.

Team Development:

Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of

3–5 EHS professionals .

Technical EHS Excellence & Project Execution

Risk Elimination:

Systematically identify, assess, and eliminate safety and environmental hazards. Engineer and implement workstation redesigns and technical solutions to drive continuous improvement.

Compliance & Auditing:

Guarantee unwavering compliance with

OSHA, EPA, DOT , and all applicable regulations. Develop and execute rigorous audit and inspection programs to continuously measure and enhance EHS effectiveness.

Advanced Analytics & Mitigation:

Lead incident investigations and root‑cause analysis with a relentless focus on implementing sustainable corrective actions. Leverage predictive safety analytics to identify trends, forecast high‑risk activity, and implement proactive controls.

Cutting‑Edge Technical Solutions:

Machine Safeguarding:

Upgrade and install state‑of‑the‑art physical barriers, light curtains, and interlocks.

Ergonomics:

Lead comprehensive assessments and implement engineering controls to mitigate musculoskeletal disorder risks.

LOTO:

Develop and audit enhanced Lockout/Tagout procedures for new and modified equipment.

Fall Protection:

Engineer, install, and train teams on robust fall protection systems.

Logistics Safety:

Implement safety‑first improvements for forklift and pedestrian traffic flow, barriers, and alert systems.

Sustainability:

Oversee and drive measurable improvements in sustainability efforts, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and air emissions control.

Hazard Minimization:

Collaborate with operations to minimize hazardous waste streams and implement engineering controls to manage potential hazardous fumes.

System Maturity:

Drive the maturity of the EHS management systems (ORM and OHSMS), including digitizing incident reporting, inspections, and compliance tracking via EHS software implementation.

Lean Integration:

Partner with manufacturing leaders to integrate EHS initiatives into lean manufacturing principles (5S, Standard Work) for improved performance.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical) or a related technical field.

10+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience in a medium‑to‑large manufacturing environment —experience in electrical/electronics manufacturing is a strong plus.

Recognized and active certifications in safety and manufacturing (CSP, CIH, CMfgA, ISO).

Deep and demonstrable understanding of general industry standards and best management practices for complex manufacturing safety.

Preferred Qualifications

MS or BS in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.

Proven success in leading significant culture change and achieving quantifiable improvements in safety performance.

Proficiency in lean manufacturing tools (5S, value stream mapping).

Experience with EHS management systems (Enablon, Origami, Gen Suite).

Strong analytical skills and experience applying problem‑solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC, FMEA, Pareto analysis).

Specific experience with fabrication, welding, assembly, coil winding, and lifting equipment (cranes, forklifts, hoists).
