Position: Senior Accountant We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Senior Accountant with expertise in federal cost accounting, government contract compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently with little supervision, meticulous in managing financial data, and adaptable to changing requirements. This role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with complex government regulations, and supporting A2G’s success in the defense and aerospace sector. Responsibilities:
Apply Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and FAR Parts 30 & 31 to ensure compliance. Maintain accurate project and contract accounting in line with DCAA standards. Manage Service Contract Act (SCA) compliance, including wage determinations and recordkeeping. Support audits with detailed, compliant financial records. Partner with internal teams for proper expense and revenue classification under government contracts. Stay updated on federal cost accounting regulation changes and align policies accordingly. Financial Accounting Duties:
Maintain accurate financial records, including AP/AR. Perform reconciliations and assist with month-end/year-end closing. Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets. Analyze financial data and assist with cash flow forecasting. Collaborate with Contracts for project accounting. Monitor internal controls and financial risks. Assist with loan management. Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred. Proven experience in federal cost accounting for government contracts. Deep knowledge of CAS, FAR Parts 30 & 31, DCAA compliance. Strong SCA compliance experience. Ability to work independently and meticulously. Proficiency in ERP systems like Sage, Unanet, and Workday. Understanding of GAAP, revenue recognition, and accounting fundamentals. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Additional Information:
