Junior Accountant
LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our client’s finance team. This role will primarily focus on managing accounts payable and receivable, performing month-end reconciliations, and preparing journal entries. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and a commitment to accuracy and timeliness. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $45K and $55K annually depending on experience and education.
Base pay range $45,000.00/yr - $55,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records of all AP transactions.
Generate and send customer invoices.
Monitor incoming payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
Apply payments to customer accounts and maintain AR aging reports.
Assist in month-end closing activities.
Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts.
Support financial reporting and audit preparation.
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
1–2 years of accounting experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with GAAP.
Experience with ERP systems.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
