strategic and hands‑on Controller
to lead financial operations and drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership : Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals. Advise leadership on economic trends, tax code changes, and operational adjustments.
Reporting & Forecasting : Prepare and present financial reports that summarize income, expenses, and earnings. Forecast future performance based on historical and current data.
Budgeting & Analysis : Lead the budgeting process, review proposals, and provide supporting documentation and justification.
Compliance & Controls : Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain strong internal controls in line with GAAP.
Audit & Risk Management : Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external auditors and financial institutions.
Payroll & Costing Oversight : Supervise payroll systems and establish product pricing based on costing structures.
Team Leadership : Directly supervise accounting, AP, and AR teams. Hire, train, and develop staff while fostering a collaborative and accountable culture.
Requirements
5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including financial reporting and forecasting
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Controller-level experience in a small business environment with broad financial oversight
Supervisory experience, with a proven ability to manage and develop team members
Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
High proficiency in Excel and experience preparing budgets and cash flow projections
