We are looking for a collaborative, detail-oriented People Specialist/Human Resources Specialist who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about supporting people, processes, and culture. The HR Specialist will play a key role in onboarding, HRIS and payroll administration, benefits coordination, and employee lifecycle support for a nationwide team. Key Responsibilities
Onboarding Lead the full onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience Coordinate equipment, IT access, and first-day details (e.g., scrubs, name tags, etc.) Send and track new hire training invitations and orientation sessions HRIS & Records Management Maintain accurate data within the HRIS system Manage personnel files in compliance with company and regulatory requirements Payroll Serve as the primary partner with the organization’s Paychex managed services team Act as the internal payroll liaison for colleague questions and issue resolution Benefits & Compliance Support benefits enrollment and provide ongoing day-to-day benefits guidance Ensure EDI feed and data accuracy for benefits vendors Track FMLA and manage related documentation Oversee required compliance and training administration Employee Lifecycle Support Manage offboarding processes with consistency and care Provide responsive HR support to colleagues and leaders across the organization Recruiting Support Assist with resume screening and candidate coordination to support high-volume recruiting efforts What You’ll Bring Paychex experience required Degree: Associates Degree or higher required 2–4 years of HR experience in a generalist, coordinator, or specialist capacity Strong organizational, multitasking, and follow-through skills Clear, approachable, and professional communication style A people-first mindset with strong attention to detail Experience with onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS systems (preferred) Compensation & Benefits Salary:
The annual base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000. Annual base salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and or licensures. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations Location:
Hybrid - Lisle, IL. 2+ days in office. Benefits:
