Position Title HR Generalist

Location Clear Lake, TX

Assignment Type 3-month contract with potential for contract-to-hire

Compensation $34 - $36 / Hour

Work Schedule Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Overview We’re seeking an experienced HR Generalist to provide hands‑on support to a busy Human Resources team during a period of increased activity. This role involves a mix of administrative and strategic HR responsibilities, supporting employees and managers across multiple areas such as onboarding, HRIS, timekeeping, and compliance.

Responsibilities

Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including background checks, offer letters, and system setup in ADP.

Partner with payroll to ensure accurate timekeeping, PTO tracking, and timely manager approvals.

Provide HRIS support and training to employees and troubleshoot system‑related issues.

Prepare HR documentation such as employment letters, job changes, and verification requests.

Maintain accurate HR data and employee files while ensuring confidentiality.

Respond to employee inquiries through shared HR inboxes with professionalism and timeliness.

Assist in the implementation and testing of new HR system features.

Support reporting and HR data tracking for internal metrics and compliance needs.

Ensure adherence to federal and state employment laws and HR policies.

Contribute to ongoing process improvement efforts and HR team initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

3–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.

Aerospace/Government industry experience highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of HRIS systems (ADP experience highly preferred).

Familiarity with payroll, timekeeping, and leave management.

Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
