Riverside Community Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Medical Staff Credentialing Coordinator to oversee provider credentialing and re‑credentialing, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Salary Hourly Wage Estimate: $29.68 - $41.56 / hour.
Job Summary This position is fully onsite. The Coordinator will evaluate, analyze, and coordinate all aspects of the credentialing process for Licensed Independent Practitioners and Advanced Practice Professionals, support medical staff operations, and maintain credentialing files.
Key Responsibilities
Review and screen pre‑applications and credentialing applications for completeness and compliance.
Conduct primary source verification and validate documents.
Maintain credential files to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality standards and accreditation requirements.
Participate in process improvement initiatives and prepare reporting for regulatory agencies.
Communicate with providers, staff leadership, and administration to resolve credentialing and privileging issues.
Qualifications
High School Graduate or GED; AA or AS Degree preferred.
CPCS Certification required or to be obtained within 1 year.
2–3 years hospital‑based credentialing or privileging experience.
In‑depth knowledge of federal, state, and local credentialing regulations.
Strong prioritization, communication, and critical‑thinking skills.
Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, provider database programs).
