Medical Staff Credentialing Coordinator

Overview
We are seeking a
Credentialing Coordinator , also referred to as a Medical Staff Coordinator or Medical Staff Office Coordinator. A Credentialing Coordinator ensures that healthcare providers meet all necessary qualifications by verifying licenses, certifications, and credentials and managing timely recredentialing processes. They also maintain accurate records, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and act as a liaison between providers and hospital committees.
Shift's Available:
Days (No weekends, holidays or call)
Employment Type:
Part Time
Hours:
8-hour shifts - 8:00am to 5:00pm
Location:
Dallas Medical Center - Dallas TX
Responsibilities
Collect and verify documents such as licenses, certifications, education, training, malpractice insurance, and work history
Submit credentialing applications and ensure timely recredentialing as required by hospital policy and regulatory bodies
Ensure all providers meet standards set by accrediting agencies (e.g., The Joint Commission), state and federal regulations, and insurance panels
Maintain accurate and confidential credentialing files and provider databases; use credentialing software to monitor application status and compliance data
Act as a liaison between providers, hospital departments, credentialing committees, and medical staff offices
Qualifications Deal-breakers: You must have
Associates degree preferred or equivalent education/experience
Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must have strong computer, communication, and writing skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus
Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred
Minimum of 3 years technical/administrative experience, Medical Staff Services Department and/or acute care hospital experience preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services and/or acute care hospital experience, preferred
