Responsibilities:

Perform cost accounting, production transaction review, and gross margin analysis for manufacturing operations.

Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and adjustments.

Support month-end and year-end close, executing account analysis, reconciliations, variance explanations, and financial statement preparation.

Manage inventory accounting, conducting monthly recalculations and participating in annual physical counts.

Generate and deliver monthly reporting, including financial statements, FTE tracking, and ad hoc financial analysis.

Provide Accounts Payable and Receivable coverage as needed and assist with account and entry coding.

Research and resolve discrepancies affecting the general ledger and ensure compliance.

Assist with cash control processes including replenishments, safe counts, and petty cash audits.

Lead preparation of audit documentation for external audits.

Support initiatives related to ERP upgrades, automation, and enhanced financial reporting (including Power BI and D365 workflows).

Maintain up-to-date documentation of accounting procedures, and perform other assigned duties as required.

Must-Have Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Proven experience with cost accounting and month-end/year-end close processes in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in Excel and ERP software (preferably Microsoft D365).

Knowledge of accounting theories, regulations, and best practices.

Analytical skills with strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on multiple projects.

Effective oral and written communication skills for internal and external collaboration.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

CPA or CMA certification.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft D365 and Power BI for financial reporting and automation.

Demonstrated initiative in process optimization and ERP workflow improvements.

Prior experience supporting audit activities and preparing documentation for external auditors.

Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven, collaborative setting with evolving priorities.
