Position Flex Security Officer – Jackson, MI (All shifts available). Hiring immediately. Starting pay $18/hr, paid weekly.
Job Skills / Requirements
Previous security officer experience preferred.
Excellent customer service skills.
Must be able to complete drug screen and background check.
Must be flexible and team oriented.
Previous truck experience is a plus.

Flex Officer Responsibilities The Flex Officer position is crucial to our company’s operational and financial success. The flex officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts which become open due to illness, call‑offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to our customers, while also protecting the health and work balance of our personnel.
The Flex Officer must read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
Scheduling Expectations
You will be trained at various posts and facilities based on operational need; while postings are not permanent, you may work the same post for several weeks.
Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need.
You will be assigned to, or offered the opportunity to accept, shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.
Some shifts will be scheduled in advance and posted with the new week’s schedule; sometimes you will be called with short notice and asked to cover for someone who is unable to work their shift.
You are expected to work any shift for which you are scheduled in advance that falls within your availability as described on this sheet. If you know you will be unavailable on an upcoming date or time that would normally fall within your availability, you must communicate this with your supervisor.
For short‑notice call‑ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called. If you refuse more than 20% of shifts for which you are called, this could negatively impact your employment status with the company.
Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent.
