Job Description Join the Office of Advancement as an Advancement Records Specialist and work with other dynamic staff members to receive, prepare, and process gifts and maintain a donor database in Advance CRM. Join a team culture within the Office of Advancement. Various duties involve recording gifts and donor biographical information on behalf of the university as assigned.

Responsibilities

Understand university gift acceptance policies.

Understand IRS charitable giving guidelines.

Understand proper cash handling and fiscal procedures.

Receive, prepare, and process gifts from individuals and organizational donors.

Prepare checks/cash for deposit into the university bank account.

Data entry of gifts into the Advance CRM and receipt production.

Process requests for MU license plate use authorization program and prepare reminder cards/letters for Mizzou license plate holder renewals.

Provide customer service representation in person, via email, and over phone for questions related to gift activity.

Assist with daily gift mail.

Identify issues & concerns and elevate them to supervisor for review.

Communicate with donors and unit representatives professionally and in a timely & accurate manner concerning gifts, pledges, and departmental inquiries.

Secure/handle sensitive materials.

Show attention to detail, meet crucial deadlines, and work independently.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least 2 years of comparable experience.

Preferred Qualifications

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to research additional information when required and identify failures to follow policy.

Experience with computer data entry, document imaging, and spreadsheets.

Shift & Compensation Shift: Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Hourly Rate: $20.00 – $23.00
