IT Manager
AutoZone is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead a team of engineers to maintain and modernize our legacy systems and drive technical delivery of enterprise software projects. This role involves managing personnel, performance, project budgets, and system modernization across a geographically distributed environment.
Responsibilities • Lead the design, implementation, and support of modern customer-focused application stacks while ensuring architectural and design decisions align with company standards.
• Manage full-time and contractor resources, coordinate talent acquisition and performance management, and maintain high-quality delivery of multi‑million-dollar projects.
• Oversee technical delivery, including coding, OS configuration, API integration, and performance monitoring.
• Drive the identification and resolution of system issues, coordinate vendor relationships, and maintain system usability, accessibility, and customer experience.
• Develop and track project plans, communicate status, risks, and issues to executive-level stakeholders, and maintain a prioritized backlog of work.
• Foster a motivated work environment, coach and mentor technical talent, and encourage accountability and innovation.
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of software engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in SQL Server, including creation of stored procedures, user‑defined functions, and T‑SQL queries.
Experience building internal web tools using HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
Software development, unit testing, and peer‑review documentation for database and application code.
Experience integrating code and database objects into production environments and performing smoke testing.
— 6 years of experience in:
Design, development, and maintenance of Java/Spring Boot web applications using object‑oriented programming.
e‑Commerce solutions for multinational companies with global, geographically distributed teams.
Designing large‑scale cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform, including security measures.
Implementing highly available, RESTful micro‑services and extensible platforms for third‑party developers.
Project management with Agile practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
Integration and implementation of Kibo Order Management solutions, including middleware configuration.
