The Slot Supervisor (Primary position) is responsible for supervision of the Slot Attendants on an assigned shift and ensuring that the Slot Attendants provide consistent high levels of customer service. The Slot Supervisor also acts on behalf of the Slot Shift Manager (Secondary position) when needed. The Slot Shift Manager oversees all slot operations on the casino floor during the assigned shift. All duties are performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies, procedures, Internal Control Standards, and objectives.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Work in conjunction with the Slot Shift Manager to supervise personnel and ensure efficient operation of the facilities during an assigned shift. Monitor employee activities and take appropriate actions to support efficient operations.

Observe activities in the Slot machine department areas, watching for irregularities. Ensure Slot Machines function properly and are played legitimately.

Assign personnel to areas of the casino, schedule them, and monitor breaks to provide proper coverage and efficient service to Slot customers.

Assist in monitoring payouts on the machines to ensure proper amounts are paid to customers.

Act as signatory on jackpots as outlined by the Internal Control Manual.

Know and enforce all policies and procedures regarding the security of monies, parts, equipment, and required documentation.

Utilize effective communication tools to provide consistent, accurate, and timely information through all shifts.

Ensure professional behavior and appearance are in compliance with established standards, rules, and regulations of the Slot Department and the Seneca Gaming Corporation.

Maintain a current understanding of all policies and guidelines regarding information security, including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy.

Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times.

Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.

Complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months of commencing employment.

Attend all necessary meetings.

Duties, responsibilities, requirements, and expectations are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24‑hour schedule.

Additional Secondary Position Duties

Observe and analyze the integrity of play, track guests and employee activity, and assume responsibility for the overall function and performance of the assigned shift.

Supervise the shift of Slot Supervisors and Slot Attendants.

Manage the operation of the Slot department during the assigned shift.

Assist in formulating, developing, and implementing department goals and objectives.

Train new employees to ensure they gain the proper knowledge to perform their duties at an acceptable level.

Implement departmental and company procedures, including all policies concerning the security of monies, parts, equipment, and required documentation.

Ensure proper staffing levels for adequate floor coverage and high‑level customer and machine service with minimum labor hours.

Delegate assignments and track tasks to ensure timely and efficient completion.

Ensure all slot operations staff accurately complete shift paperwork for thorough records and reports. Investigate discrepancies.

Perform payroll duties, submit timecards, and maintain accurate attendance records and personnel files.

Maintain a working knowledge of all Seneca Gaming Corporation facilities, including special promotions and events to provide pertinent information to employees and customers.

Evaluate shift employees to maintain acceptable performance levels.

Assist with recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, coaching, discipline, terminations, and other personnel related issues.

Communicate regularly with employees about casino activities and events.

Settle customer disputes that cannot be resolved by subordinates.

Qualifications/Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Bachelor’s Degree or two (2) years of casino experience and at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.

Minimum two (2) years of gaming/casino experience (can be concurrent with leadership experience).

Game performance experience is desirable.

Knowledge of casino rules, regulations, and procedures.

Basic computer skills required.

Language Skills and Reasoning Ability

Ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.

Ability to interact well with customers and employees.

Ability to resolve problems/conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud; when on the casino floor, the noise levels increase to loud. Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.

Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.

Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast‑paced casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.

Salary Starting Rate $49,069.41

Compensation Is Negotiable Based on Experience And Education Each position has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may be waived.
