Job Details Flex Security Officers are needed for all shifts in the Lafayette, Indiana area. Pay is $18.50 per hour, paid weekly.

Requirements
One year of security, military, or law‑enforcement experience preferred.
Reliable means of transportation and communication.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time and distance.
Always accessible for phone communication.
Ability to mentally analyze situations, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure.
Read and understand written instructions and communicate information clearly.
Exceptional report‑writing skills.
Willingness to work holidays and weekends.
Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
Flex Officer Explanation The Flex Officer position is crucial to our operational and financial success. Flex Officers provide trained support by working shifts that become open due to illness, call‑offs, weather, vacation, or other causes, enabling Sunstates to provide continuous, uninterrupted service while protecting employee work‑life balance.
Scheduling Expectations
Trained at various posts or facilities based on operational need; assignments are temporary.
Schedules (shifts, days off, hours per week) vary with operational need.
Offered shifts are assigned as they become available.
Some shifts will be scheduled in advance; others may require short‑notice coverage.
Expected to work any scheduled shift within availability. Should communicate unavailability to supervisor.
For short‑notice call‑ins, expected to work at least 80% of the call‑in shifts; refusing more than 20% may impact employment status.
Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent.
