Opportunity Overview Sony Electronics has an excellent opportunity for a
Sales Account Manager
within the Sony Professional Imaging Sales group. The role will be responsible for sales and market development, expanding professional imaging and broadcast sales, and establishing and maintaining relationships with dealers and end‑users. Sales predominantly target Federal Government agencies and military branches. The primary focus is in the Washington, DC area but will extend nationally based on opportunities.
The successful candidate requires channel experience in working with and selling directly/indirectly to Federal Government accounts. They will have a strong understanding of imaging, photo and video technology, be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, and have the ability to be a problem solver.
The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for achieving a sales quota and for developing a strong sales pipeline. This position requires a team player that works very closely with Sony Product Management, Marketing, Data Analyst and Pro Support teams.
Minimum Requirements
BS degree is required or equivalent
Must have 3–5 years related experience
Prior experience with developing and executing sales to Federal accounts
Must have a professional background, strong problem‑solving skills, and demonstrated creativity in overcoming sales barriers
Must be able to make professional and compelling presentations; communicate effectively to large and small audiences; and have strong organization and time‑management skills
Minimum salary range: $73,409 to $97,878 (actual base salary depends on qualifications, experience, skills and location).
Compensation & Benefits In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is eligible for sales incentives and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare (medical, dental, vision), paid medical leave, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, up to eighty hours of paid sick leave annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave.
