A team of specialized consultants who meet guests where they are and deliver through strong operations, guest experience and visual merchandising that inspires guests and builds the basket. Teams in Apparel and Accessories (A&A), Home, Baby, Beauty and Electronics prioritize guest experience while ensuring product is available and easy to shop – pulling, filling, pricing, setting, staging and maintaining the sales floor and backroom. Guest service fundamentals and experience; building a guest-first culture on your team Retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies Plan daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver sales goals Lead multiple business areas, balancing team member expertise and effectively leading teams in each department Lead a team of hourly team members; including interviewing, developing, coaching, evaluating and retaining talent As a Specialty Sales Team Leader, a typical day will include the following responsibilities: Demonstrate a service culture prioritizing the guest service experience. Model, train and coach team members to deliver the guest service model Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices, being authentic and respectful, and creating equitable experiences Plan workload to deliver department and store sales goals and guest engagement; including merchandising plans and planograms Lead onboarding and learning, close skill gaps through development and coaching Develop, coach, and lead a team of consultants who are knowledgeable and passionate Assign daily tasks aligned to business priorities and guest traffic patterns Encourage use of department tools to welcome, inspire and influence guests with personalized recommendations Partner with third-party vendors to maintain brand standards and full merchandising areas Support changes to merchandise sets and visual presentations for defined categories Create inspiring visual moments by organizing, signing and merchandising products for seasonal trends Support backroom processes, organization, layout and replenishment to ensure product availability Participate in team hiring and onboarding Lead the team to prioritize guest experience in fitting rooms (where applicable) Establish clear goals and hold team members accountable Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; lead the team to do the same Lead a safety culture by modeling safe behaviors, identifying hazards, and reporting injuries timely Model execution of physical security processes to enhance store security Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store If applicable, follow safety and security training as a key carrier Address all store emergency and compliance needs Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup, and Drive-Up while ensuring compliance with laws Greet guests and engage with them to solve their needs Thank guests for shopping at Target Other duties as needed for business context Qualifications
