Summary CRT is expanding its workforce and welcomes individuals interested in low voltage cabling, AV and security fields. Benefits include paid health insurance at no cost to you and a retirement plan. No experience needed for an apprenticeship – training will be provided.

General Duties And Responsibilities

Install low voltage copper and fiber optic cabling.

Terminate, test copper and fiber cabling systems using certified test equipment.

Use a variety of tools or equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.

Repair and install network‑enabled systems such as CCTV, Access Control, AV Control Systems, Central Sound, Video Management Servers, Projectors, Screens, Interactive Displays, etc.

Assist in keeping building common and technology spaces neat, orderly, and safe.

Accomplish work in accordance with blueprints and specifications, national and local codes and industry standards such as TIA and BICSI.

Update as‑built drawings as necessary according to department policies.

Attend toolbox safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency in addition to recommended topics such as harassment prevention and ethics.

Obtain an OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health standards certification.

Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available.

Education And Experience

High School diploma or GED required.

Knowledge of the low voltage integration or ICT industry.

BICSI and/or AVIXA certification desirable but not required.

Valid driver’s license.

Language Skills Effective communication in English, cooperation, and collaboration with multiple levels of customers and employees.

Physical Requirements Regular walking, use of fingers and hands, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, talking or hearing, tasting or smelling. Frequently required to stand; occasionally to sit. Must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to move and lift heavy objects, climb vertical ladders, work at heights, and be proficient in the use of common hand and power tools. Vision: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to commute to field locations and job sites.

Work Environment May require outdoor work, exposure to wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical and electrical parts, high, precarious places, dust, fumes, chemicals, extreme weather, extended exposure to sunlight, cold and heat. Risk of electrical shock and vibration. Noise level usually moderate to loud.
