Empower Rental Group is hiring a Regional Sales Manager. This regional, field‑based leadership role is responsible for driving profitable growth, developing sales talent, and strengthening sales execution across numerous ERG branches. The position partners closely with the Regional Manager and reports to align sales and operations, ensuring revenue growth, margin improvement, and a best‑in‑class customer experience.
Responsibilities
Recruit, hire, train, and mentor Outside Sales Representatives (OSRs) and Sales & Operations Coordinators (SOCs) to build a high‑performing, engaged regional sales team.
Coach Branch Managers on sales management fundamentals, including rate discipline, pipeline health, customer segmentation, and performance accountability.
Conduct regular one‑on‑one and monthly performance reviews to assess progress toward revenue, activity, and margin goals.
Foster a culture of retention, engagement, and continuous professional development.
Lead onboarding and ongoing training for new sales hires, ensuring consistent adoption of ERG’s sales process and CRM best practices.
Drive profitable growth through increased revenue performance, market share expansion, and customer retention.
Partner with the Regional Manager to develop and execute regional sales strategies, campaigns, and incentive programs.
Support branches in achieving used equipment sales goals and maximizing fleet utilization.
Identify and cultivate new customer accounts in target growth markets.
Ensure Branch Managers conduct weekly sales meetings focused on key metrics, pipeline activity, and performance results.
Present quarterly sales effectiveness reviews to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), summarizing achievements, opportunities, and action plans.
Champion full adoption and disciplined use of HubSpot CRM, ensuring data accuracy, pipeline visibility, and actionable insights.
Analyze CRM and financial reports to identify trends, gaps, and coaching opportunities.
Partner with Operations, Fleet, and Service teams to align priorities and deliver a seamless customer experience.
Collaborate with Finance and Regional Leadership to monitor P&L performance, rate achievement, and profitability targets.
Serve as a liaison between the field sales team and senior leadership, providing actionable insights, success stories, and feedback from the field.
Collaborate with Fleet, Service, Operations Excellence, and HR teams to drive alignment and accountability.
Model and promote ERG’s core values, fostering a culture of ownership, teamwork, and customer‑first focus across all branches.
Use proper personal protective equipment when performing work duties (proper shoes, glasses, gloves, ear protection, etc.) and maintain safe attire.
Dispose of waste properly and abide by all local, state, and federal laws regarding safety.
Demonstrate behaviors aligned with ERG’s values at all times.
Assist in driving a continuous improvement strategy within the business to achieve ongoing incremental gains in quality and efficiency.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Branch Manager, multi‑unit sales leader, or equivalent role within the equipment rental, construction, or industrial services industries.
Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience managing P&L statements and key operational KPIs.
Proven success in developing, training, and retaining top‑performing sales talent.
High proficiency with HubSpot CRM (or equivalent) for activity tracking, pipeline management, and performance analytics.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical skills with a hands‑on coaching approach.
Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and collaboration across functions.
Must reside within the assigned region and be willing to travel regionally (approximately 60–70%).
Performs job functions safely at all times and participates in all safety meetings.
Communicates all concerns or violations to the appropriate manager(s) immediately.
Location: Franklin, TN
Compensation: $180,000.00 – $200,000.00
