About The Role Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies. We’re looking for a proven leader to join our Sales Engineering team to oversee the Enterprise Sales Engineering team. As a Manager of Sales Engineering, you will manage a team of approximately 6–8 Sales Engineers, specializing in achieving the “technical win” in interactions with technical and business stakeholders across a multitude of verticals. In this strategic role, you will adopt and optimize the Fivetran playbook to maximize revenue growth while partnering closely with Fivetran Account Executives, Account Management, Marketing, and Partner Alliances. You will also develop deep relationships with our technology and implementation partners to accelerate market share capture and joint success.

What You’ll Do

Implement and optimize strategies to maximize revenue growth.

Ensure that direct reports provide timely and accurate technical leadership in the sales process.

Coach team members to maximize performance and prepare them for future roles.

Drive prospect engagements and communicate opportunities within the team.

Use data to continuously improve forecast accuracy.

Help the team win technically within key accounts.

Collaborate with Sales Leadership on strategies and tactics to win new and maintain customers.

Communicate progress of opportunities and forecast technical wins to leadership.

Meet defined goals and metrics.

Present complex solutions to C‑level executives.

Provide market feedback to optimize sales strategy and positioning.

Act as an escalation point for key deals in the pre‑sales process.

Work with product management and engineering teams to prioritize enhancements and address technical issues.

Skills We’re Looking For

Experience in Enterprise Sales Engineering as a Manager or Senior/Lead Sales Engineer for a SaaS platform.

Strong communication, coaching, and technical skills.

Proven ability to collaborate with a Sales Director to drive successful sales outcomes.

Extensive experience with databases, replication, cloud warehouses, and APIs.

A coach‑first mentality and ability to develop team members.

Integrity, analytical thinking, positive attitude, and strategic vision.

Flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and excellent listening skills.

Willingness to travel up to 40%.

Pay Range $155,886.17 – $194,857.71 USD (may include sales incentives or target bonuses depending on the role).
