A leading New York City general contractor is seeking a
DOB-Licensed Superintendent
to provide on-site leadership for
ground-up multifamily developments
across the five boroughs. This firm is
financially strong, vertically integrated, and respected for delivering complex, high-quality residential and mixed-use projects
on aggressive timelines.
Key Responsibilities Lead all field operations on active ground-up construction projects, ensuring alignment with project schedules, safety standards, and quality benchmarks Oversee subcontractors, site logistics, and daily construction activities from foundation to closeout Enforce full compliance with
DOB, OSHA, and site-specific safety protocols Conduct daily coordination meetings and weekly trade progress reviews Manage inspections, sign-offs, and closeout documentation with NYC DOB and other authorities Collaborate closely with project management, design, and engineering teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient problem-solving Anticipate field issues, drive proactive solutions, and maintain project momentum Uphold a professional, safe, and organized jobsite that reflects company standards
Qualifications Active NYC DOB Superintendent License required Minimum
7+ years of construction experience , with a focus on ground-up multifamily, mixed-use, or affordable housing projects Strong knowledge of NYC Building Codes, DOB procedures, and construction safety requirements Proven ability to manage multiple trades and coordinate fast-paced site operations Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills; bilingual a plus Proficiency in
Procore ,
CMiC , or similar project management software preferred Experience with
concrete, block, and plank construction
a strong advantage
