Description
Overview:
Arcadia Strategy Group is seeking a Large-Scale Network Analyst / Data Transport Subject Matter Expert to provide advanced analysis and technical evaluation of backbone and data transport networks. The ideal candidate has experience with carrier-grade or hyperscale infrastructures and excels at diagnosing, measuring, and improving performance across complex, distributed network environments.
Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth performance, protocol, and transport analysis across multi-site or global network infrastructures. Analyze transmission protocols (TCP, UDP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, Ethernet). Utilize Network Management Systems (NMS) to monitor backbone health, identify anomalies, and evaluate network KPIs. Leverage Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) data to assess system scalability, routing behavior, and control-plane performance. Perform trend and fault analysis across IP, MPLS, and optical transport layers (DWDM, SONET/SDH) to isolate root causes of latency, jitter, or congestion. Correlate network telemetry and packet capture data to provide actionable insights on capacity utilization, protocol efficiency, and network path integrity. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to interpret analysis findings. Qualifications:
Minimum 6 years of experience in data transport, backbone, or large-scale network engineering/analysis. Strong understanding of transmission and routing protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, Ethernet, optical transport). Proven experience working with telecommunications providers, cloud infrastructure operators, or large enterprise network backbones. Hands-on experience with NMS, NFV, and SDN systems, including performance monitoring and virtualized network environments. Skilled in packet capture, protocol analysis, and traffic flow diagnostics using tools such as Wireshark, NetFlow, or similar. Ability to translate analytical findings into concise technical reports and recommendations. Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field preferred.
Benefits
At ASG we recognize and reward your contributions. Our benefits include employer-sponsored health insurance, matching 401k retirement plan, and paid leave. Full-time employees are eligible for our benefits program.
