Administrative Assistant – Contract Position
Contract Position held by a third‑party company of ENGIE’s choice. No guarantee of future employment with ENGIE.
Duration: Six months
Compensation: $30.00 per hour
Location: Houston, TX
What You Can Expect
As the Administrative Assistant (Contract) you will be a key member of ENGIE North America’s Renewable & Flexible Power organization, providing essential administrative support and office support. You will plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload, ensuring that tasks align with team priorities. The role is based in Houston, TX and reports to the Administrative Services Manager.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support, including calendar management, meeting coordination, conference call arrangement, travel arrangements, processing purchase requisitions, invoices, expense reports, and internal and external correspondence.
- Assist with conference room scheduling and set‑up, ensuring cleanliness and organization, and prepare materials using Microsoft Office.
- Assist new employees with office orientation and emergency procedures, creating a welcoming experience.
- Support department team members with general administrative tasks, events, and meetings; prepare and edit correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and other communications professionally; organize and maintain files, records, and office supplies; liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders; maintain confidentiality and discretion.
What You’ll Bring
- Four (4) years of professional experience in office procedures, software applications, and organizational skills necessary for administrative roles.
- High proficiency in MS Office/Windows, with particular expertise in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and calendar management.
- Knowledgeable in supporting operational departments and possessing strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to draft and format memos and letters with proper grammar and spelling.
- Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous tasks with a high degree of organization and attention to detail.
- Adapt communication style to diverse cultures and backgrounds, and constructively manage conflicts.
Additional Details
- Must be in the office a minimum of 3 days a week, with additional days as needed.
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies.
